Jackie Kelly Career Achievements for Lindsay

Apart from helping thousands of constituents in their dealings with government agencies, my proudest moments as local MP have been: first, ensuring that no airport was built at Badgery's Creek; second, delivering a 900 hectare park on the ADI site; and third, securing $10 million in federal funding to upgrade Panthers Stadium.

As well, between 1996 and 2007, the Howard government delivered:

  • $132.5 million to improve the Hawkesbury Nepean catchment
  • $169 million for Penrith City Council infrastructure
  •  An after-hours GP clinic at Nepean Hospital and a GP house call service for western Sydney
  • $18 million for a medical school at UWS
  • $4 million for capital works at Penrith High
  • $4 million for an indoor sport facility at UWS Werrington
  • An MRI machine at Nepean Hospital
  • An increase to 3000 approved childcare places in Lindsay

It has been an extraordinary honour to represent the people of Lindsay for 11 years and to serve as a member of the Howard government. Although I'm leaving parliament, I certainly won't be withdrawing from participation in the life of the area.
